Creams calm the surface; they rarely settle stubborn skin. In Ayurveda, chronic skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, acne, fungal infection and pigmentation are Charmaroga: outward signs of disturbed doshas, weak digestion and impure blood (rakta). Treat the inside, and the skin clears and stays clear longer.

At Bharadwaj Ayurveda in Althan, Surat, Dr. Jayveersinh J. Mahida (BAMS) reviews your diagnosis, triggers, digestion, reports and current treatment before recommending an Ayurvedic plan.

Our approach

How we treat it, step by step.

01

Diagnosis & Nadi Pariksha

We assess your skin, digestion, diet and stress, and read your pulse to find which doshas and which impurities in the blood are driving the condition.

02

Diet & digestion correction

A practical eating plan based on your symptoms, digestion and familiar foods. It is adjusted during follow-up when needed.

03

Blood purification & Panchakarma

Where needed, Virechana and Raktamokshana (including leech therapy) cleanse the blood at the root. This is the classical key to clearing chronic skin.

04

Herbal medicine & external care

Internal herbal formulations for the blood and skin, supported by medicated oils and lepa (herbal pastes) for soothing relief.

रक्तशुद्धि

Clear skin begins in the blood.

Ayurveda's classical texts treat most chronic skin disease as a disorder of rakta (blood) and digestion. By purifying from within, under the care of a BAMS doctor, the goal is genuine, lasting improvement, not a cream that stops working.

Skin care · Common questions

Your questions, answered.

Can Ayurveda support psoriasis and eczema care?
Ayurvedic care may be used alongside dermatology treatment to support symptom management. Dr. Jayveersinh Mahida reviews your diagnosis, triggers, digestion, current medicines and reports before recommending diet, herbal medicine or Panchakarma.
Is the treatment only creams and oils?
No. The core of Ayurvedic skin care is internal: diet correction, herbal medicine and, where needed, Panchakarma such as Virechana and Raktamokshana (blood purification). External oils and lepa are supportive, not the whole treatment.
How long before I see results?
There is no fixed timeline. It depends on the diagnosis, severity, triggers and current treatment. Dr. Jayveersinh Mahida discusses realistic expectations after examining you.
Can I continue my dermatologist's treatment?
Yes. Bring a list of your current medicines so Dr. Jayveersinh Mahida can work alongside your existing care. Only the clinician responsible for a prescription should advise you to reduce or stop it.
